The University of Alabama Club Golf Team was founded in the Fall of 2012. We compete in the South Region of the National Collegiate Club Golf Association (NCCGA). Other teams in our region include Auburn University, East Tennessee State University, Emory University, Georgia Highlands College, Georgia Institue of Technology, Kennesaw State University, Tennessee Tchnological University, The University of Tennessee, and Vanderbilt University.
Each semester the NCCGA holds a new season. There are two (2) regional tournaments and a national championship. Regional tournaments are held at golf courses centrally located to most of the competeing schools in the region, either Northwest Alabama, South Central Tennessee, and Northeast Georgia. The national championship rotates every semester and the loctaion is determined by the NCCGA. Beginning in the Spring of 2015, an Iron Bowl of Club Golf was created. Due to inclement weather, the inaugural Iron Bowl will be held in Tuscaloosa for the Fall of 2015.
Soon to come, Regional and National Championship History.
